    About the Book

    Edit

An illustrated retelling of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice. After Eurydice dies from a snakebite on her wedding day, Orpheus, the great musician, travels to the Underworld to persuade Hades and Persephone, with his music, to give his wife a second chance. They agree, on the condition that he not look back at her until they have passed into the world of the living, but at the last minute, he turns around, and she is lost to him forever. Here the story is told from Eurydice's point of view. This book was a response to my thoughts about mortality and loss during the Pandemic.
