    About the Book

    Edit

This book weaves 25 years of natural and spiritual intelligence, including art, science, poetry and spirit-dialogue, to tell the story Curvature (the nonlinear intelligence of the universe and our beings).

We have forgotten the sense, science, and soul of curvature in our lives. Literally, we have built square homes and have paved paradise; we no longer walk on uneven ground. We have lost the sense of curvature from under our feet. We have reduced our scientific understanding of the body and the earth to linear mathematics and mechanistic models. We have lost connection with nature's curves and cycles and nonlinear transformations. Metaphorically, we have lost the value of curvature where curvature represents creativity, intuition, interconnectedness, flexibility, cooperation and systems of liberation. Instead we have come to value the straight line and its metaphors: predictability, analytical thinking, isolation, control, competition and systems of oppression. We have lost our nonlinear consciousness - the co-creative and holistic cosmologies that maintain healthy minds, hearts and communities.

Soulfully, we have lost the knowledge of curvature where curvature is the wisdom of Re-membering. Returning to our truest selves, returning to Spirit, returning to Love. Remembering our indigenous mind, where we came from, and our purpose in this life. Instead many find ourselves living lives in straight paths (following the straight and narrow), always reaching for the next goal but seldom remembering who we are. We have forgotten how to turn into ourselves. Our souls are naturally curvaceous. They want to turn into themselves. But we have forgotten the language of Curvature. We have forgotten how to become the potential we were meant to become.

This is the story of Curvature and how to re-member the curvature of your being at all levels of life. It is the foundational set of teachings that curate the course Circular Cosmologies.
