About
I picked up my father’s old Yashica in the 1970s and have been fascinated by photography ever since. Over the years I’ve carried different cameras with me—first a Nikon F-301 SLR, and today a Sony A7R2 and Panasonic Lumix GX9—but what matters most is not the gear, it’s the moments I try to capture.
Street photography is where my heart lies. I love those fleeting, candid moments that say something about life, sometimes with a subtle touch of humor. Many of my photos come with a title—often playful, sometimes ironic, but always respectful of the people and places I photograph.
I live in Nybro, Sweden, and share my work on Instagram at @photos.by.yocce and @streets.by.yocce. “Yocce” is a twist on my Swedish nickname “Jocke,” which is short for Joachim.
For me, photography is about storytelling—finding beauty, humor, or meaning in everyday scenes. I hope my images make you pause, smile, and perhaps see the world a little differently.
