About

As photographer, mother, and queer woman, Megs has spent a tenured amount of time grappling with what it means to be an artist. Most of her creative career has taken place in the boudoir photography realm, where she has had the privilege to bear witness to many vulnerable and unique ways her subjects have unfolded in front of her camera. To hold space is a rare honor.

While her main creative focus is ever shifting, she continues to fervently pursue a medium that allows her to see and be seen.

"I am a third generation born Canadian citizen — currently residing in Treaty 7 Territory; Niitsitapi, Tsuut’ina, Stoney Nakoda & Métis people (Lethbridge, Alberta) as a white settler. I am complicit in an ongoing colonization and occupation of indigenous lands.

I am also a thin, able-bodied, straight-passing, femme queer woman raised within financial privilege. While I may encounter challenges that intersect at the variety of identities I carry, I hold an abundant amount of privilege."
