Born in Vinnitsia, Ukraine, in 1967, Ekaterina Yakovina graduated from Saint Petersburg State University.
Her stories and poems have appeared in various publications, including The World Healing Book (ISBN: 9789979953111), which also featured the 14th Dalai Lama, and the anthology Poetic Voices Without Borders 2 ( ISBN: ‎ 9781928589433 ), a 2009 National Best Book Award winner in the USA.
