For my father, Enrique Ramos Suárez, for sharing his love and mastery of the Arts, Music, Theatre, Poetry, and parenthood with me.

My family has a multi-generational tradition of poetry based on our Cuban culture, patriotism, and love of life. Both my father and grandfather enriched our minds with their many beautiful words about our birth country and the wonderful legacy and pains we've inherited over the years.
