About the Book
Each year Peters Valley School of Craft invites over 150 artists to teach workshops in each of its studios: Blacksmithing, Ceramics, Fibers , Fine Metals Woodworking, Photography, Printmaking and Special Topics. These nationally and internationally recognized artists come to Peters Valley from nearby, around the country and worldwide.
Peters Valley also hosts master, mid-career and emerging Artists-in-Residence, along with the visiting instructors. For the workshop season Studio Assistants in blacksmithing, fibers, fine metals, photography, woodworking, and special topics join three year-round Studio Managers on campus. Through this Studio Assistantship program, Peters Valley gives emerging artists the opportunity to learn from and work alongside nationally-recognized instructors in the immersive workshop environment.
The sampling of work included in this show is representative of the scope of programming at Peters Valley in 2019.

About the Creator
Peters Valley enriches lives through learning, appreciation, and practice of fine crafts. The making of fine crafts is a kind of exploration, which relies on an integration of heart, head, and hands. Peters Valley encourages and facilitates this exploration in everything we do. We are a vibrant community, bringing together established and emerging artists from around the globe. Coming together to make things makes us better artists, able to learn from each other, and to evaluate our own efforts in a wider context. Our Gallery is focused on supporting living artists through the facilitation of sales of their work and creating opportunities for them to exhibit their work in a professional setting.
