High school was where her interest in photography
began, Cat Aurelia loved the idea
of documenting every experience with her
friends. She began practicing photography
during her travels around Europe,
taking pictures in Italy, Greece, Austria,
and Germany as a way of documenting
her experience. When she went for one of
her many summer vacations in Portugal
and Spain, her photography began to shift
to documenting special moments in time.
This included concerts, couples, family,
and memorials she witnessed.
In college, she is beginning to truly understand
what photography can do. She
started off trying to capture moments in
time with her friends, but her friends were
always aware of the camera. Now, instead
of capturing her friends, she looks to capture
strangers, objects, and the perspectives
she has of the world.
This book gives insight into some of what
her regular college life looks like and how
she wants to see the beauty in it.
