About the Book
A Baby Boomer dream is to travel to Cuba. And off we went in May 2017 on a group tour hosted by a favorite yoga teacher, Erin Flemming.
Havana is amazing for what it once was…and for the people. The vacation for us was probably only a 7 but if we had time to carve out a day to ourselves to tour the newly refurbished Gran Teatro, see the Revolution Plaza and photograph the many the Castro billboards the trip would have been a solid 8.
We were blessed with possibly the best hotel room in the city, Room 211, at the Hotel Nacional de Cuba famous as the “mafia” room. Frank Sinatra’s smaller room was next door to our spacious retro suite.
The room was the perfect set for us to stage some of our crime scene photo series.
And thank you President Obama for authorizing our “people to people” exchange!
Let’s pray Americans can remain able to support the Cuban people by continuing to visit.
