    Jane M. Farmer is an independent curator/exhibition producer who has been organizing traveling exhibitions and artist exchanges for various organizations including the Smithsonian and the Office of Education & Culture at the State Department for over thirty years, was the founder and Chairman of the Crossing Over Consortium, and has been on the Board of Pyramid Atlantic, as a Director or Adviser, since 1982. Much of her professional work has been dedicated to researching the history of hand papermaking, its traditional spiritual uses and its use as an art and book medium for contemporary artists throughout the world. Since moving to New Mexico in 2004 Farmer has been revisiting her families connections to the culture and environment of the Southwest.
