    About the Book

    Edit

Herral Long at work is a hunter armed with a camera – stalking an image that will capture a moment, an idea or a character.

For over 50 years, Long has mastered the ever-changing technology of news photography from 4x5 view cameras, single-lens reflexes, film processing and darkroom printing to today's digital imageing.

Long's work has been widely recognized. The Metropolitan Museum of Art chose one of his shots for its fifth annual international exhibition, Photography in the Fine Arts, which toured both the U.S. and Canada.

Of his career Long says, "It's still a work in progress. This book is meant to share not only craft and technique, but the joy you can get from shooting pictures everyday."

    About the authors:
