    About the Book

    Edit

A special edition presenting an extract of 50 photographs taken from the Standard Edition and covering the walk from Liverpool Street to Whitechapel.

Walk to Work takes the reader on an early morning photographic journey from London's Square Mile to the heart of Whitechapel in the East End.

Accompanied by observations and anecdotal social history it is a journey through a part of London which is rarely seen by people outside of its close-knit community.

Walk to Work is the visual record of an area of London which is continually evolving and now under threat from the march eastward of the financial district and the impact of gentrification.
