    About the Book

    Edit

Artist Kel Portman continues to walk and relate to the landscape on his periodic journey Northward from his home county of Gloucestershire. His daily routine is punctuated by the need to regularly stop every 5000 paces and reflect on the rugged, uncompromising landscape of Yorkshire and The Pennine Way. These observations, in form of photographs, words and images often linger on places and their names, weather, topography and other natural phenomena presenting both a subjective and objective perspective of the journey.
