About the Book
Romania: A Visual Journey provides a glimpse of some of the country's amazing sights, both natural and man-made. It aims to give you a taste of long-gone medieval times, as well as proof that it has indeed entered the 21st century, with all that that brings. It hopes to inspire you to visit this vibrant and diverse country before the pressures of modernization and technology begin to chip away at its essence and tourist appeal.
About the Creator
Howe Sim is a prolific travel photographer whose work has taken him to all 195 UN-recognized nations, both polar regions, and a total of 248 TCC countries & territories. His subjects are as eclectic as his destinations: from Rwanda’s endangered mountain gorillas to Greenland's monolithic icebergs; from the curious rituals of Benin's voodoo festival to the cultural treasures of "red zone" countries such as Somalia, North Korea and Afghanistan. Dedicated to capturing the beauty of the world around us, there is simply no place he won’t venture. The more otherworldly the landscape, the greater his wanderlust. He works primarily on assignment, providing stock images for his corporate clients.
