About the Book
The photos in this book show my efforts in modeling trucks in 1:53 scale. This is not a "how to" book, but rather photos of the finished models. In 1:53 scale there aren't any commercial detail parts available, so everything had to be hand-fabricated, which of course required a lot of work and time. These are not all of the 1:53 scale trucks that I have built, but it is a good representation.

My husband, Dave drove truck in the U.S. for 40 years with over 3-million safe miles. He started taking photos of trucks as a young boy in the 1950s, inspired by his mother who took photos of his dad's trucks beginning in the late 1940s. He passed away in 2019. His wife survives.
