    About the Book

    Edit

The purpose of this book is historical photo documentation of trucking in the West, as collected by the author. Most photos are circa late-1950s to early-1960s. The images in this book were taken by the author, his mother Ardene Bontrager, or were gifts to the author from the trucking companies in the circa during which they originated. All photos are from the private collection of David A. Bontrager. Original photo formats included glossy photos and paper prints; all having been restored or partially restored by DABble Publishing & Imaging. On occasion, historical value of the image has taken precedence over image quality when the decision to include, or not to include was made.
