    About the Book

    Edit

The Calendar Project began in 2007 as my travel photography lay sitting in my computer, never having been seen but by a few To display some of these photos, my wife, Becki, and I decided to create art photography calendars as Christmas gifts. Becki picks the theme and I provide the images. The calendars quickly became popular and the project thrives today. I have been truly fortunate to travel the world as both an Air Force pilot and a curious wanderer. So far, the themes have been:

    2008: Scenery
    2009: People
    2010: Aviation
    2011: Animals
2012: Outdoor Art of New Mexico

As you may tell from the images, my photography and equipment have changed over the years but it was important to include some earlier shots to show both the themes and growth over the years. Those early shots were taken in 1983 with my first film SLR, a Nikon FM. Later film photos are from a Minolta X370. In the digital age, I have used an AGFA CL50, Canon G9, a Canon EOS 20D and since 2009, a Canon 5D Mk II. Some are even scans from a disposable drugstore camera! It has been a joy from start to finish!
