    About the Book

    Edit

Sinatra allowed exterior shots of twin palms to be used in the 1950 film The Damned Don’t Cry starring Joan Crawford.

Twin Palms received Additional exposure when photographed by renowned architectural photographer Julius Shulman, featured in Julius Shulman: Palm Springs.

Sinatra moved out in 1953, the same year filming was completed on from here to eternity. He sold twin palms to elsinore machlis who kept the house for a year and then sold it. Hugh and maurine young, big Sinatra fans, became the new owners and remained at twin palms for over 40 years.

In 1997 in a state of disrepair, Twin Palms was sold for $137,000 to marc Sanders, a landscape architect.
