    About the Book

    Edit

By now the whole world knows of the heroics of the fierce band of resistance fighters located in Temple, New Hampshire. Their cunning, courage and dogged defiance against the Invaders have become a beacon of hope for the last remnants of humanity. Chronicling their triumphs and tragedies, and never far away from the front line, is Ghostwalker, medic and poet, Helen Byrne.

As she examines the nature of faith, love and betrayal, the destruction of familiar family structures and the price survival extracts on the soul, we are catapulted with her, recognizing in the clarity of her vision reasons to keep fighting. Byrne has discovered within herself, and in her town, a stern defiance against the Entities’ attempts to destroy humanity, while versifying the tireless heroics of the men and women who continue to resist the zombie scourges.

    K. Journeay
    Berlin, MA, USA

In the fall of 2006 Katherine Journeay began playing in a Post Apocalyptic Live Action Roleplaying game (LARP) called Endgame. LARPing s a form of role playing where the participants physically act out the actions of the characters they have assumed. The character Journeay created and portrayed developed and an entirely unexpected ecstatic connection to the Divine. Although Journeay had written poetry in college nothing prepared her for the onslaught of creativity that Endgame unleashed in her or the spiritual relationship she suddenly found herself plunged into. When she is not LARPing Katherine Journeay lives with her husband, an extraordinarily grumpy cat and an ever rotating cast of characters in Camelot Cohousing, Berlin MA.
