    About the Book

    Edit

"What San Diego Eats" is a project based off of a book called "Hungry Planet: What the World Eats" by Peter Menzel and Faith D’Aluisio.

Inside, you will find a study of seventeen families from all over San Diego County. This study consists of their recipes, their weekly grocery expenses, and images that capture their eating and cooking habits. In addition, there are also essays written by the students about food and its connection to San Diego itself.

This is a product of the seniors of High Tech High Media Arts. The students have been working on this project since the beginning of 2011, guided by their environmental science teacher, Lia Mueller. Not all of the students’ work made it into this book, however, it is still full of content that is interesting and enjoyable, so please do enjoy this presentation of a high school project.
