About the Book
This book is a photo album featuring photos of trucks, most taken in the 1970s at truck stops. A wide variety of makes of trucks are represented. Truck Stop 5 is part of an ongoing Truck Stop series of photo albums featuring vintage trucks.
All of the photos were taken by well-known truck photographer Neil Sherff and were used with permission.
The photo album is a great archive of vintage trucks. The trucking industry is a constantly changing arena, and when trucking history is gone, it’s gone forever. Without photos like these we would not have any history of trucking.

My husband, Dave drove truck in the U.S. for 40 years with over 3-million safe miles. He started taking photos of trucks as a young boy in the 1950s, inspired by his mother who took photos of his dad's trucks beginning in the late 1940s. He passed away in 2019. His wife survives.
