    About the Book

    Edit

In 2007 Mieke Kupers (Netherlands) travelled through Tibet with a pilgrimage of his eminence Gosok Rinpoche, who got permission to visit his birth grounds. From hundreds of photos of the places that were visited and the the people waiting for and welcoming the Rinpoche, Mieke made a selection of portraits of Tibetans. The conversion to duotone and tritone makes the images even stronger than they already were.

A portrait of a culture created by portraits of its people.

The short introduction is in Dutch; the photos speak for themselves.
