About the Book
In Poppies, Pierogies, and Perspective, Frankie Nelson invites readers into ten unforgettable days through Krakow, Slovakia, and Budapest—where laughter, loss, and longing intertwine against centuries-old streets and starlit skies. From tearful moments in castle courtyards to shared prayers over dinner, she captures the beauty of being lost in the world just long enough to find yourself again.
Both a travel memoir and a modern love story, this book reminds us that sometimes the bravest thing we can do is say yes—to the trip, to the people we meet, and to the life waiting on the other side.

About the Creator
Frankie Nelson is a Texas-raised writer, real estate professional, and lifelong storyteller with a heart for travel, people, and perspective. A graduate of The University of Alabama and Mississippi State University, she finds inspiration in the in-between moments—matcha-fueled mornings, spontaneous adventures, and quiet reflections that shape a life worth writing about. Her debut book, Poppies, Pierogies, and Perspective, was born from a ten-day solo trip through Eastern Europe that became a journey of rediscovery, faith, and unexpected love. Frankie currently lives in Dallas, Texas, where she continues to collect stories, souvenirs, and a growing appreciation for saying “yes” to what comes next.
