A retrospective of the 1960s at the oldest American summer camp west of the Alleghenies. Includes all six camp yearbooks, known as The CAHIBO (CAmp HIghlands for BOys). There is also a summary of the leadership transition that occurred during the decade - from Dr. Monilaw and Norvil Beeman to The Admirals to Mike Bachmann, my father. Finally, the magazine is bookended by photos from the era.

Nestled along the shores of a hilly peninsula - jutting out into the sandy bottomed, spring fed Plum Lake - Highlands is the stuff of Northern Wisconsin dreams. Camp's University of Chicago origin story - with its many colorful and beautiful personalities - intrigues me to no end! There was - and is - so much to work with! On Mike - A True Highlands Man A Camp on Plum Lake Historic Photographs from the Magical Archives Sunday at Highlands To Brag Little, to Show Well (a 2013 reprise of the 1974 original) An Interlude with Mike The 1914 Dinglebat Sharon's Sunshine Who's That Girl? This is, Kent - Teacher, Coach, True Highlands Man GEORGE: Snapshots from the European Theater - WWII - George Bachmann The CAHIBO - the 1960s: Camp Highlands for Boys
