About the Book
Shiraz, a large southern city in Iran, is renowned for its gardens and historic sites. However, contemporary Shiraz is more than its famous landmarks; it is a city that demands a deeper exploration of its urban community and character.
The lack of photo books dedicated to modern Shiraz and its inhabitants inspired me to create and share this collection from my personal point of view.
All photographs in this collection were taken in Shiraz between 2014 and 2024.

About the Creator
Majid Bazaei (b. 1986, Kazerun, Iran) is a street photographer whose work captures the fleeting poetry of everyday life. He began his journey in Shiraz, where the city’s rhythm, people, and atmosphere shaped his vision as a photographer. Alongside his early street photography, Majid also ran his own photography studio, gaining experience in commercial and studio work. Over time, however, he shifted his focus entirely to the streets, pursuing street photography full-time as both a personal passion and artistic practice. His images reflect a deep curiosity about people—their gestures, emotions, and the subtle ways culture and memory appear in daily life. Whether in Shiraz, London, or beyond, Majid seeks out the connections that make urban life universal and human. In 2015, he founded the Shiraz Artist Group, which grew into one of the most active photography communities in southern Iran. Through more than 150 photowalks, group exhibitions, and collaborative projects organised.
