In that stillness, I came to understand nostalgia not merely as memory, but as a lens—an act of imagining. To be nostalgic is to reconstruct the past, often romantically, to contrast the present. It is a wistful self-distancing from the now. This collection is a documentation of a flicker of light, a fold in fabric, a slant of architecture—and suddenly we are elsewhere. Nostalgia is symbolized in this flicker: brief, luminous, impossibly alive. flickers—these nodes of nostalgia.
