About the Book
It is intimidating to build a coffee shop from scratch in a countryside of Thailand. This book uses step-by-step illustrative drawings to document the building processes. In Thailand, local builders tend to engage their trade with traditional local knowledge and experiences. Some builders are very professional, while some practice their trade with on-the-job maneuvers. It is important to secure a seasoned builder with open communication skills to do the work. From posts and beams, roof and frames, water and sewer, lights and switches, concrete floor, walls and fixtures, provincial electrical authority, signage and menu design, to landscape and operation, the entire project cost around 700,000 Thai Bahts. Although the shop is 40 SM in size, it functions well for countryside local patrons, improves the local economy, and provides self-sufficient income for a small family. Let’s embrace the simplicity and warmth of the coffee shop experience and reflect on life's moments amidst the comforting ambiance of the coffee shop.
