Charles Darnell lives in San Antonio, Tx with his spouse, Barbara. He is a member of the Maverick Poets and The Hill Country Poets. His poetry has appeared in many literary journals, magazines, newspapers and anthologies including The Texas Observer, The Ocotillo Review, Noria, Still Crazy, The Texas Poetry Calendar, and Voices de la Luna. His chapbook, "Water, Tongues, Earth, and Blood" was published by Finishing Line Press in 2018 and his collection of poems, "Toward Human", by Kallisto Gaia Press in 2022. He is a two-time finalist for the Julia Darling Memorial Poetry Prize. Charles has a website that includes many of his individual poems published over the years.
