Born in Illinois, but have lived in Mexico, Spain, and Italy. Virginia has always been home. Received Bachelor's in English, 1970, and Bachelor's in Nursing in 1981. Married Diwan Singh, 1970... two children and two grandchildren. Traveled to India in 1989. Nursed at St. Mary's Hospital for twenty five years. Taught nursing at a local college 8 years.
