    About the Book

    Edit

Rachelle seeks out Rae, ready to recover her from the Pack that had taken her by force. But as she arrives, she is faced with an unexpected welcome. Rachelle joins Rae in the Pack and the two rekindle their friendship as they learn to navigate Pack life together in their new roles. But as Rae seems to backslide into a mindset that reminds Rachelle of the Cornerstones back in Florence, tensions rise and threaten to tear them apart yet again.

Meanwhile, Mayline battles the intrigue of the Hall of Cornerstones, attempting to win more people over to her agenda and figure out a way to completely upturn the Hall on its head. Demitri proves invaluable as an informant on Hellios and his dark actions in Hell, leading Mayline to more shocking discoveries than she’d prepared herself for.

When another sinister force is revealed as a power in the world, will Mayline be able to out maneuver an opponent she is unfamiliar with? Or will she choke on the blood they are willing to spill from the shadows?

    Sydnee A Nelson
    Houston, Texas, United States

Sydnee A. Nelson was milked and teethed on the classical art of literature. Nelson’s parents had them and their two brothers listening to audio recordings of books like Redwall (Brian Jacques), Little Women (Louisa May Alcott), and Eragon (Christopher Paolini). With appetite whetted, Nelson proceeded to devour young adult fiction like Artemis Fowl and Half-moon Investigations (Eoin Colfer), horror novels like Salem’s Lot (Stephen King), and absolute classics in the fantasy genre from Lord of the Rings (J. R. R. Tolkien) and The Chronicles of Narnia (C. S. Lewis). From an early age, Nelson was making up stories in the backyard of their parent’s home alongside their older brothers and scribbling in tiny journals pretending to be an author signing the book for their fans. For as long as they can recall, they have dreamed of sharing their stories with the world.
