Cecil is a Dubliner and the grandson of the famed theatre actor/manger Ira Allen. He is a graduate of Indiana University and University of Minnesota. He has worked in broadcasting, thretre, and education. For twenty years lectured in the Dublin Institute of Technology. Retired he now devotes his time to writing.
