    About the Book

    Edit

Young people ages 8-12 years interested in science and astronomy will enjoy this richly-illustrated introduction to our solar system. Based on the best scientific knowledge available today, Discover Our Solar System takes young readers on a journey through our solar system starting at the Sun and moving out through all the planets, including the Earth and the Moon, the asteroid belt and on to the dwarf planets at the farthest reaches of the solar system. Illustrations provide readers an immersive experience as they visit the surface of some planets and the moons of others where they can see up front and close what the planets might actually look like if they could visit them.

The book includes 74 pages, more than 50 hand-drawn illustrations, facts about each solar system object, a kid’s glossary and references for learning more about the solar system.
