    About the Book

    Edit

This volume features a selection of 154 drawings from the sketchbook of Thomas Kerr, a Associate Profess of illustration and drawing at St. John's University. All featured sketches were made from life and represent ten years of observing students and documenting them as they plied their skills at the easel. Punctuated by finishes of media demonstrations and portrait sittings. Together, the drawings compose a larger narrative, documenting those learning to see and express themselves. Most drawings are reproduced at the size drawn and reproduced with the greatest fidelity possible. Take some time, navigate the pages and join the class.
