Kilcullen Drama Group - April 2022 - The Two Lives of Gabriel Foley
Thank you all for coming to our theatre and sharing this evening with us and boy isn’t it great to be back. The last two plus years have been difficult for everyone, so it was important for our group to choose a play that just might make us laugh. We think we have chosen well, so it’s up to you guys to judge. Thanks to Irish playwright Jimmy Keary we have had some great laughs at rehearsal, mostly from the prompter and we hope we can share this laughter with you all tonight.
With sadness we remember Madge our front of house stalwart for over 50 years, now checking in patrons at the Pearly Gates. Thankfully she left us an understudy so welcome Anita, you have big shoes to fill, but we have lots available in our prop room.
And finally anyone we have omitted either in error or deliberately, you know who you are!
And of course you guys, our best ever audience. Enjoy, laugh, applause, groan even moan…but for God’s sake don’t cough or sneeze.
