    About the Book

    Edit

Alcatraz lived so many lives she began to take them for granted. She would live one and then she would get another, until soon they all started to feel like one long life. She no longer enjoyed simple pleasures. She thought human company was nothing to envy, and she didn't trust anyone, not even herself.

Until one day, after escaping a cramped, lonely orphanage, she found immortal friends in an unsuspecting house. She found light in having friends who were like herself. She thought nothing could be better and nothing could make her world turn upside-down again. She couldn't have been more wrong about the consequences of letting them in. After they die, she knows she has to become someone new, but she can only do this if she forgets everything she's ever known and starts anew. At the last moment she wonders: Is this the right decision?
