Lou lives in the small town of Glensbor, England 1952. She lives a brutal life at an orphanage until she uncovers the file holding secrets of her past…and no record of her parents death. She and her best friend, Danielle, escape the orphanage to uncover the missing elements of Lou’s childhood, and find their way home to Lou’s parents. Going hungry and without shelter, they have everything to lose. They meet a lonely boy named Harold, who is stuck playing a part for his parents, and he comes along with them to aid them on their big journey. But Lou is blind to what comes next, and she needs to ask herself the true question… Who am I?
