    About the Book

    Edit

Stephen Eisner, born in 1932 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, is a man of quiet strength, fortitude, character, and charm. After living an idyllic youth in Prague with his loving parents, brother, and extended family for the first seven years of his life, Stephen and his family were uprooted when the Nazis invaded Czechoslovakia in 1939.

While Stephen's father, a WWI veteran and cavalry officer, fled directly from the front to London, Stephen's mother led Stephen and his brother on a daring escape from their occupied land. After living amid the chaos and rubble of the London Blitzkrieg, and braving a perilous journey down the U-boat-riddled Atlantic, the Eisners arrived in New York.

Once in America, Stephen seized the opportunity to build a life, and has done so in enviable fashion: serving in the US military, becoming an expert skier, achieving great success as a New York City construction manager, improving policy for the benefit of the environment, marrying Arlene, the love of his life, raising two wonderful sons, and becoming grandfather of four beautiful boys.

This is the memoir of a great man whose values of family, friendship, work ethic, and tenacity led him to achieve the American Dream.

    LifeStory
    Springfield, NJ

LifeStory writes your memoir for you. All you need to do is talk; we do the rest. LifeStory makes it easy and enjoyable to preserve your history and leave a lasting legacy for your family and friends to enjoy for generations to come. We interview you and then edit your words so they read very nicely, as though they were written rather than spoken. The words remain yours. When your loved ones read your story, they can practically hear your unique voice narrating, telling all your classic anecdotes and jokes, educating them about your life’s greatest memories, milestones and achievements. Your words are then pulled together with pictures and captions into a beautiful hard or softcover book with a great design. LifeStory makes an excellent gift and tribute for senior parents and grandparents, and really for any occasion: anniversaries, retirements, weddings, graduations, the simple celebration of life and family… Every Life is a Story. Pass It On.
