    Bruce Allen Oatway

    Bruce Allen Oatway aka BAO, is an American poet, author and teacher. Born in Newport, R.I. he graduated from the prestigious Roger Williams University Creative Writing Program under the tutelage of Robert McRoberts, Poets Robert Bly, William Stafford, James Tate and Robert Creely. He was editor and co-founder of Aldeberan, a Literary Journal of New England. He taught English and Creative Writing in Malibu, Ca. and Kamehameha Schools Maui. His first book of poetry " The Snow Leopards Tracks" was released in 2001 followed by "The Frost Cabin", his second book of poems. He authored the children's book "The Magic Star" published in 2017 by Moonwishes Media, a collaboration with visionary artist/poet Li'a Mahina. His second children's book "I Am Me" is illustrated by British illustrator Amanda Gazidis. His new volume of Poetry is called "The Navigator." A singer/songwriter, he tours and has recorded many Albums and singles found at his website www.bruceoatway.bandcamp.com
