Preston Merchant taught photography as an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism in New York and was a featured artist in the Smithsonian Institution’s exhibit, “Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation.” His solo show “Indiaworld: Images of the Global Indian Diaspora” was on view at the Olive Hyde Gallery in Fremont, California in May-June 2019. His pictures have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, NPR’s website, and other places.
