Preface
I live in the South Shore Park area in the neighborhood of Bay View, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (for the most part, that and the East Side was my bubble. I definitely did not leave Milwaukee County). I work at the UWM Libraries where I am a cataloging librarian. In library school, I concentrated on cataloging, archives, and history. I am also an artist and street/protest photographer. Documentation and bearing witness have been important themes in my creative work. Given this background, I was naturally compelled to start a "Plague Photos" file early on. I filled it with photos, videos, screenshots, and memes. That file grew to around 700 items (not including a sizable amount of memes. So many memes). This book is 440 pages because that is Blurb's limit. I regret that video can not be embedded into paper books yet.

The chosen time frame is February 26, 2020-February 26, 2021. It took me a minute to figure out where to start, but I settled on the day of the Miller Brewery mass shooting. It best sets a stage that gives an idea of where my head was at and where the city's head was at when COVID-19's presence became unavoidable.

Anything in quotes was a social media post I wrote on that particular day (typos and all). Everything else was written in reflection February-March 2021.
