    About the Book

    Edit

An English translation of a German language Kodak AG publication which originated with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Kodak AG in 1952. The book contains several interesting chapters for both the Kodak Retina Collector and the photographic historian. The 500,000th Kodak Retina made after the resumption of post-war Kodak Retina production is illustrated along with a review of the development of the Kodak Retina from 1934 to 1952. A section introduces the reader to the Retina-System, which is the various accessories offered for the Type 015 Retina Ia and Type 016 Retina IIa in 1952. Third, there is a section showing an overview of the actual production of a Kodak Retina in 1952 including images and text concerning the various production areas in the Kodak AG Dr. Nagel Werk in Stuttgart-Wangen, Germany. Finally, a section about the Kodak employees and how Kodak AG would support their employment. The original booklet was only available in the German language and this is the first time the entire book has been translated to English. Additional information is given at the end of this book that explains how this booklet was presented to Kodak AG employees and customers at the time of the 25th Anniversary.
