    About the Book

    Edit

In February 2020, I traveled over 3000km to a small city called Sohag, which lies on the Nile river's west bank. Sohag is a beautiful yet poverty-stricken city in Egypt; it's where my father grew up, and my grandmother lives until today. In fact, my Teta, as I also like to call her, is a board member of an NGO there, which I had the privilege of visiting.

In this book, you'll find delicious and historical recipes that are staples of Egyptian cuisine, some of which date back thousands of years, as well as vibrant pictures of Sohag, and lastly, nine personal life stories that will shed light on the hardships the women who are supported by the NGO face.

All profits that come from selling this book will be donated to the NGO in Sohag, Egypt. By buying this book, you will make a big difference in the lives of the women. If you want to find out more, feel free to write me an email: helpsohagngo@gmail. com.
