    This book is a story of a friendship between two boys who grew up in a small village in Austria and who at age 18 years of age came to the United States by himself to make his home there. His Friend Erich remained in Europe where he spent his carrier in telecommunications.

    About the Creator
    Guenther
    Guenther Gehart
    Agoura Hills, California

    Guenther J. Gehart was born in Zwingendorf, Austria, and grew up in Vienna. He came to Los Angeles as a teenager, where he later met his wife Anna. They raised their three children - John, Diane, and Joanne - in Agoura Hills, CA. Their son John became an attorney and has his own law firm in downtown Los Angeles, California. Diane earned a PhD degree in Counseling and is teaching Marriage & Family Counseling at the University of Northridge, as well as working in her own private practice. Joanne earned her Master's degree in Education and is teaching in Santa Cruz, California. At age 50 Guenther enrolled at UCLA and earned his degree in Computer Graphics. At age 59 he started Displaytronix, a high tech firm that designs LCD interfaces and refurbishes LCD panels. After six years of successfully building the company, it was sold to IBM; and Guenther, after working 50 years, retired. He now spends quailty time with his children and grandchildren - photographing and writing books.
