This book describes the study Abroad to Peru by the University of North Florida’s students during Summer 2019. We visited the region of Huancabamba, in the north of Peru, and visited several communities and schools, performing service-learning activities and scouting different community projects to support. The funding for these projects came from students’ fundraising efforts and the partnership with a Rotary Club. During this program, students learned and understood economic development issues, poverty, and health, and worked together with people from these disadvantaged communities to improve their situation. This book presents a combination of a travel journal, narrative, and photos to describe the full experience abroad and the final results regarding the community help.
