    About the Book

    Edit

This book tells the life of a war reporter who spent more than 30 years on the front lines across four continents. His photographs have made history. Blood, screams, explosions, and fires—but also heartfelt reflections—capture the reader’s interest, evoking personal and collective memories through the account of war and its consequences. A powerful and unsettling book that reveals the stories hidden by the mainstream media. Due to the facts and names it contains, this volume has been acquired by the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The author states: “The camera was a useful tool for documenting the facts, but what gave me the strength to endure in the face of so much evil was my empathy with the victims and the relentless pursuit of the truth.”
This updated edition contains new photos and a new chapter dedicated to the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
