About the Creator
LIVIO SENIGALLIESI, (1956) born in Milan / Italy. Self-taught photographer, Senigalliesi begins the carrer at the end of the ‘70s taking pictures of social issues. In the lastest decades his passion for documentary photography and the attention to historical events have taken him to many hot spots: Middle East, Kurdistan, the Gulf War in 1991 and 2003, Berlin in the division and in the reunification times, Moscow during the days of the coup which decreed the end of the Soviet Union, Sarajevo during the siege and all the phases of the conflict in the former Yugoslavia. He carried a long term project on the violations of human rights devoting much time to the documentation of genocides of the past and present and living long periods in conflict zones in Africa, Southeast Asia and Latin America. Winner of many awards, he is authors of books, itinerant photographic exhibits and educational projects.
